Rossendales gets colourful for ‘Wear it Pink’

Wear it pink

Staff get colourful for fundraising

Our superb staff excelled themselves again.

October 29th 2010 was “Wear it Pink” Day in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness.  The social committee also decided that it would be a good idea to combine Halloween and Wear it Pink.  It was brilliant to see the battle taking place within the offices between “pink” and “horror”.

The social committee ran a competition for best fancy dress and also did raffles and a dress down day.  In total we raised over £200.00 for the “Wear it Pink” campaign.

Rossendales waxes lyrical for Children in Need

Once again our staff went to great lengths to raise as much money as possible.  Staff dressed down and had to pay for the privilege with all donations to Children in Need. We conducted a couple of raffles, Val Clarke our welfare officer gave beauty treatments out for the cause and Tom Lawton painfully had his legs waxed.  In total we raised £550 for Children in Need.

Employees take part in great Manchester run

32 employees from Rossendales raised over £800 for Children’s Cancer Research at Manchester Childrens Hospital after taking part in a 5 mile charity run around Heaton Park in Manchester.

All 32 completed the race with Mark Green posting the best time for the third year running, by completing the course in 36 minutes.

Rossendales supports childrens trust

As 2008 came to a close, Rossendales invited Bill O’Connor from the Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust, Manchester region to attend the offices to be presented with a cheque for the total amount Rossendales had raised in 2008.

The total figure was £4277.82 which has enabled 8 disadvantaged children to go on holiday to Lourdes in April 2009.
